Erebus Motorsport is expected to announce a new driver for the #99 entry next week after confirming Dale Wood will leave his full-time role at the team following the end of the season.

Wood joined the Melbourne team this season having enjoyed spells at Brad Jones Racing and Nissan Motorsport.

The 2013 Dunlop Super2 Series winner confirmed to Speedcafe.com that had been contemplating his future in the category following a fourth place finish at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 earlier this month.

Speedcafe.com understands Dunlop Super2 young gun Anton De Pasquale is favourite to take over the drive next year.

The 22-year-old impressed the squad during an evaluation day in August and has been in talks to land the seat alongside Bathurst 1000 winner David Reynolds.

Erebus Motorsport team manager Barry Ryan has thanked Wood for his efforts this season.

“Dale has been a great contribution towards our progress this year and we appreciate his efforts,” said Ryan.

“With two rounds remaining, we will continue working together to achieve the best possible results for Dale and the team.

“We wish him all the best for the future.”

The team will now head to New Zealand for the ITM Auckland Super Sprint next weekend.
