Mobil 1 HSV Racing and Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport have persevered with their pre-enduro test day at Winton despite wild weather at the Victorian venue.

Heavy rain, high winds and even snow has been forecast for the region which has disrupted test plans for Victorian-based Supercars teams.

Prodrive, Brad Jones Racing and Preston Hire Racing were expected to join HSV Racing and Lucas Dumbrell at the track today, but elected to abandon test plans late on Monday.

Preston Hire Racing and Prodrive are planning to reschedule its test for tomorrow, while Brad Jones Racing decided to halt test plans for this week.

Despite the threat of heavy rain, HSV Racing and Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport have hit the circuit today to step up their preparations for next week’s Pirtek Enduro Cup opener.

After beginning running at 0830 this morning, it is expected the team will see out the remainder of the day despite the conditions.

Forecasts suggest the weather conditions are only expected to improve slightly for tomorrow.

Garry Rogers Motorsport and Nissan Motorsport are scheduled to test at the venue on Wednesday.

Garth Tander (GRM) and Michael Caruso (Nissan) along with Scott McLaughlin (DJR Team Penske) are expected to continue with the Dunlop tyre test at Phillip Island if the weather is clear.

McLaughlin will then rejoin DJR Team Penske for its pre-enduro test at Queensland Raceway, where the team will share the track with Triple Eight and Tekno Autosports.
