Prodrive Racing Australia co-owner Rusty French will contest the Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend.
French will team up with Dave Roberts' Hawk Racing Team to pilot a Chevrolet Corvette in four, 30 minute GT & Trans-Am races held on the 3.92km Indianapolis road course circuit at the venue.
The Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational will welcome a vast array of historic race cars which will participate in races on the road course alongside demonstration runs on the iconic 2.5-mile oval.
As a result, French will sit out this weekend's round of the Touring Car Masters at Darwin's Hidden Valley Circuit.
Invited by Roberts to this weekend's event, French will reciprocate by fielding the American driver in the ex-Bill Pye Chevrolet Camaro at this year's Touring Car Masters Bathurst 1000 meeting from October 5-8.
