Nicky Hayden will be farewelled in his home city of Owensboro on Monday.
Hayden's family has confirmed that the deceased motorcycle racer's funeral will take place in the Kentucky city in which he was born, raised, and continued to base himself despite a racing program predominantly in Europe.
Born into a Catholic family, Hayden's service will take place at St. Stephen Cathedral Church and will also be streamed live on his Facebook page.
The 2006 MotoGP world champion succumbed to head injuries on Monday (Italy time) after being hit by a car while cycling on Italy's Rimini coast.
