Defending World Surf League women’s champion Tyler Wright has swapped her surfboard for Cameron Waters’ Monster Energy Ford Falcon.

Wright jumped behind the wheel of the #6 FG X to experience taste of Supercar machinery at the Norwell Motorplex on the Gold Coast.

Waters, who finished fourth and eighth at last weekend’s Clipsal 500, was on hand to provide Wright with coaching on how to handle the touring car.

“Driving the Monster Energy Supercar was so awesome,” said Wright, who is gearing up to defend her title this year.

“Being in the car with Cam (Waters), the pure speed and watching him drive with such precision and calmness heading into corners was amazing.

“After driving myself, and then being in there with Cam, I don’t think I’ll be becoming a Supercar driver anytime soon.”

Considering her lack of experience, Waters was impressed by how Wright coped in the FG X Supercar.

“I think after being in there with me though, she was able to see what type of speed and precision we attack the track with, which I think she was quite impressed by,” said Waters. comment policy
