New Ferrari Formula 1 car breaks cover

The new Ferrari SF70H
Ferrari has become the latest Formula 1 team to reveal its 2017 challenger ahead of next week’s first pre-season test.
The Maranello team uncovered its SF70H, to be driven by four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen, via an online broadcast from its Fiorano test track in Italy.
Built to F1’s new regulations, the SF70H features a radical redesign of the car’s sidepods and a T-wing aerodynamic device similar to the concept showcased by Mercedes on its new W08.
The Ferrari was however unveiled with a shark fin engine cover in addition to the T-wing.
Changes to the aerodynamic rules sees the SF70H adopt a lengthened nose and an arrow shaped front wing.
The power unit has also undergone an upgrade with the layout of mechanical components in the hybrid system heavily revised to increase performance.
Ferrari endured a winless season last year finishing third in the Constructors’ Championship behind Mercedes and Red Bull.
The Scuderia will join the rest of the F1 paddock for the opening pre-season test at Barcelona from February 27-March 2.
