MARC GT reveals Bathurst 12H BMW livery

MARC GT has revealed the livery its BMW M6 GT3 will carry at the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

The Queensland squad has uncovered a bold green, yellow and black colour scheme after securing backing from WM Waste Management and landfill compactor distributor TANA.

Supercars star Chaz Mostert will headline the squad’s driver line-up which features Australian GT Championship pilots Morgan Haber and Max Twigg.

Mostert topped the times when the squad participated in a private BMW test at Mount Panorama in November alongside the two factory supported BMW Team SRM M6 GT3s.

Team boss Ryan McLeod feels his team is ready to tackle the February 3-5 endurance classic.

“With the international running we have done with this car, combined with the local testing and the Bathurst test last year, we feel like we’re in good shape,” said team boss Ryan McLeod.

“The car looks sensational and it’s great to have WM Waste Management and TANA on board to support our Bathurst program.

“We have been working on several key areas we think will help us improve, in particular efficiencies in braking and aero which are both very important for Bathurst.

“The M6 GT3 has lots of downforce and can struggle on the straight so it’s critical to pass cars with confidence so we’ve worked hard on the braking.

“Because of the aero the car has slightly lower straight line speed and that means the fuel consumption is higher, so we’ve been working on improving that.

“They’re all key areas but we feel like we’re well prepared and ready to go.”

BMW teams will head to Bathurst having received a major upgrade to their M6 GT3s ahead of the race.
