A glimpse into how the 2018 Gen2 Holden Commodore Supercar may look has emerged online.

Graphic designers ssMedia, who work with Supercars and help produce liveries for DJR Team Penske, has produced a series of renders showcasing how it sees the new look Commodore Supercar.

Holden has already committed to introducing the new Commodore, based on the Opel Insignia, in 2018 coinciding with the launch of the Gen2 Supercars rules and when the road car goes on sale.

Like the road car, Holden’s new Supercar will replace the V8 power plant in favour of a turbo-charged V6 unit with its development continuing this season.

Supercars powerhouse squad Triple Eight has been placed in charge of the new car’s homologation in line with the team’s deal to become the sole factory Holden squad this year.
