No resolution in GRM, Volvo legal dispute

thumbThe deadline for mediation talks between Garry Rogers Motorsport and Volvo Car Australia has passed however an impasse between the two parties remains.

GRM had sought legal action after it learned that Volvo was not going to continue in Supercars in 2017 which was contrary to what it was led to believe as far back as 2014.

A Federal Court judge directed mediation between the two parties in September which have so far failed to satisfy either party.

It is believed that no common ground has been reached as GRM try to continue to campaign the S60 Supercars even though Volvo announced in May that it would not continue in the sport beyond 2016.

Neither party agreed or disagreed with proposals presented at the mediation session.

Today’s mediation deadline hearing was attended by Garry Rogers and his son Barry and Volvo Car Australia managing director Kevin McCann with both parties accompanied by respective legal teams.
