Wagner secures 2017 World Supersport ride

Aiden Wagner
Queensland ace Aiden Wagner has won a seat in the Team Lorini Honda operation for the 2017 Supersport World Championship.
Wagner will make his debut for Lorini alongside British team-mate Kyle Smith at the opening round at Phillip Island from February 24-26.
After making his World Supersport debut as a wildcard at Phillip Island in 2015, he scored points finishes for the GRT Racing Team aboard an MV Agusta this season.
Wagner, from Wamuran near Caboolture north of Brisbane, won the Australasian Supersport Championship in 2014.
“I am proud to compete with Team Lorini Honda, a team with great professionalism and an excellent technical package,” Wagner said.
“I will give everything to show my talent and hopefully entertain the fans.”
Wagner will debut with Team Lorini at the final pre-season test in Phillip Island from February 20-21, before kicking off the season three days later.
World Supersport is on the undercard to the Superbike World Championship with both featuring production-based motorcycles.
