The Toyota 86 Racing Series will welcome Matt Brabham, Jonathon Webb and Alex Davison as its trio of guest drivers for the final round at the Coates Hire Sydney 500.
The new-for-2016 one-make series has invited professional drivers to compete and help mentor the current field of competitors at each of its five rounds this year.
IndyCar rookie and Stadium Super Trucks driver Brabham is set to make his debut in the category for the title decider on the streets of Sydney Olympic Park.
The 22-year-old grandson of the late Sir Jack Brabham heads to venue after finishing third in the final round of the 2016 Australian Production Car Series last month.
“It is a good opportunity to join the Toyota 86 Racing Series this weekend at Sydney Olympic Park,” said Brabham, who contested this year’s 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.
“It will be a bit different being in the coaching role as well as being a competitor in the series, but having seen some of the races this year, I think it might be me asking some of these guys for some tips.
“It has been super competitive and some enjoyable racing.”
Brabham will be joined by two experienced campaigners in reigning Bathurst 12 Hour and Bathurst 1000 winner Webb and Porsche Carrera Cup driver Davison.
Five drivers remain in the hunt to claim the inaugural Toyota 86 Racing Series title.
Newly crowned Australian Formula 4 champion Will Brown heads the standings with Utes regular David Sieders 68 points adrift in second.
Cameron Hill is lying third ahead of Aaron Seton and Tim Brook with 300 points available this weekend.
The series has also confirmed a provisional five-round calendar for 2017 with all races featuring on the support bill of Supercars events.
Phillip Island will kick off the new season in April before heading to Townsville in July.
A return to Sydney Motorsport Park is planned for August prior to the showpiece Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 in October.
The final round will take place at the new Coates Hire Newcastle 500 event in November.
