Fresh look for Slade at Townsville 400

Brad Jones Racing’s Tim Slade will run a special one-off livery at this weekend’s Castrol Edge Townsville 400.
The South Australian’s Freightliner Racing Commodore will adopt a black livery featuring branding from Alliance Trucks Parts for the visit to Townsville’s Reid Park circuit.
Alliance Trucks Parts have been associated with the Albury team since 2014, with the group backing the team’s Dunlop Series entry for Andrew Jones.
“Andrew’s car is a real eye catcher with its bright yellow, but we’ve gone with almost the complete opposite for this weekend,” said Slade.

“I think it looks really tough and will definitely stand out in its own right.
“It’s been a successful couple of rounds for me and really awesome to get Freightliner Racing up on the podium.
“The Freightliner Racing team had a podium finish at Townsville last year so it would be great to continue our momentum and get on the podium for Alliance Trucks Parts this weekend.”
After scoring a double victory at Winton, Slade continued his run of podiums with a second place finish in Race 13 at Hidden Valley last month.
The 30-year-old heads to Townsville lying eighth in the championship standings.
