Craig Baird will rejoin Erebus Motorsport’s Pirtek Enduro Cup line-up this season following a one-year absence from V8 Supercars.

The Kiwi is set to join David Reynolds in the team’s Penrite Holden, which it will field alongside its second entry for Aaren Russell/Shae Davies.

Veteran Baird drove for Stone Brothers Racing/Erebus from 2012 to 2014, which included finishing fourth in the 2013 Enduro Cup.

He currently races for the squad’s Australian GT team alongside businessman Scott Taylor.

“It’s great to be back for the endurance rounds this year,” said Baird.

“I’ve been a part of the Erebus family since the beginning so it’s nice to be in a team where you know the infrastructure, the owner and the team members already.

“The development of the car is going in a very positive direction and that showed with the speed Dave had in Winton.”

Baird and Reynolds are good friends having spent time together in the Porsche Carrera Cup.

“Craig will be a great fit and I’m really glad to have him on board,” said Reynolds.

“This will be the first time I’ve raced with Bairdo and not against him.

“We have been in the same team before but not the same car so I’m really looking forward to it.”
