Mitch Evans will compete in the opening round of the European Le Mans Series at Silverstone on April 15-16.
The New Zealander is set to join the Russian SMP Racing squad who will field an extra LMP2 entry in the four hour endurance at the Northamptonshire circuit.
Evans will team up with Campos Racing GP2 team-mate Sean Gelael and European Formula 3 runner-up Antonio Giovanazzi to pilot the Nissan powered BR Engineering BR01.
The race will see the 21-year-old return to sportscars after finishing second in the LMP2 class on his Le Mans 24 Hours debut last year for JOTA Sport.
Evans' late entry is one of 15 LMP2s confirmed for the European Le Mans Series opener.
The Kiwi has been gearing up for his fourth GP2 campaign this year, which has seen him move from Russian Time to Campos Racing.
Following last week's final pre-season test at Jerez, Evans will head to Barcelona for the opening round of the season from May 13-15.
