Monday 18th January, 2016 - 11:50am

The Festival was highlighted by the appearance of current Le Mans 24 Hour winner Earl Bamber and World Endurance Champion Brendon Hartley.

A mix of more than 300 machines comprising competition and road cars saw both drivers behind the wheel of the 1998 Porsche GT1 and the 1977 Porsche 936-77 that were dispatched from the marque’s museum in Germany.

The Festival also included Formula 5000s, Historic Sports Sedans and Historic Muscle Cars.

Hampton Downs will host the final weekend of New Zealand’s brilliant Festival of Motor Racing next weekend. comment policy
