McQueen Le Mans doco set for November release

The much anticipated documentary, McQueen: The Man and Le Mans is set to be released in the US on November 13.

Focussing on never-before-seen footage of the original film, Le Mans, it tackles the financial problems which beset the cult flick and the behind-the-scenes demons faced by Hollywood anti-hero Steve McQueen.

Son Chad and Neile Adams, McQueen’s first wife, offer insights while there are private recordings from the actor which touch on his inner-most thoughts.

Gabriel Clarke and John McKenna, from Noah Films, have combined to direct the documentary.

The pair directed 2010 doco When Playboys Ruled The World about F1 hellraiser James Hunt and his motorcycling compatriot Barry Sheene.

It will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray as well as downloadable formats on personal platforms and video-on-demand from the aforementioned date.
