Jamie Whincup will put Dunlop’s new V8 Supercars tyre compounds through their paces at Queensland Raceway on Monday.
The six-time champion and his Red Bull Racing Australia outfit will work with V8 Supercars’ technical department and Dunlop to undertake the tyre test.
Dunlop has produced two revised versions of the existing soft tyre, as well as a ‘super soft’, for assessment as V8 Supercars works through its format options for next season.

“V8 Supercars will assess the performance of the tyres and report back to the Commission,” confirmed V8 Supercars technical director David Stuart in a statement.
The test is scheduled to take place with one of Red Bull’s existing race cars before Whincup’s newest chassis enjoys a brief shakedown in the afternoon.
Monday’s running will then be followed by a full two-car test for Red Bull Racing Australia on Tuesday, featuring all four of its Pirtek Enduro Cup drivers.
