BJR team-mates handed points penalties

Dale Wood
Brad Jones Racing team-mates Dale Wood and Jason Bright have been dealt points penalties following separate incidents on Saturday at Winton.
Wood, whose qualifying contact with fellow BJR driver Fabian Coulthard was not investigated, has been docked 15 points for Race 10 contact with Scott McLaughlin.
McLaughlin was turned around by the #21 Holden at the exit of Turn 4 while in a four-car battle that also involved Ash Walsh and Tim Blanchard on lap 8 of 20.
The penalty sees Wood drop one place in the standings, shifting down to 19th position, behind Walkinshaw driver Tim Slade.

Bright has meanwhile lost 25 points after spinning James Moffat at Turn 11 while battling for 14th in the afternoon’s second heat.
The Team BOC Holden driver slips from 11th to 13th in the championship as a result, moving behind Todd Kelly and Will Davison.
Opening lap contact in Race 11 between Ash Walsh and Andre Heimgartner was also looked at, with no breach of the rules established.

Heimgartner was sent spinning through the grass on the opening lap of Race 11
