The car’s onboard camera capturing the unexpected police attention

Nissan Motorsport’s South Perth street demo to launch James Moffat’s new sponsorship from Toshiba came with a minor hiccup.

Driving alongside the Swan River among the city traffic this morning as part of an organised media stunt, Moffat’s V8 Supercar was pulled over by local police.

“He probably thought all his Christmases had come at once and ‘I’m going to get this V8 Supercar driver’,” smiled Moffat afterward.

“But when we told him we had all the permits and necessary conditions to do what we were doing he made a couple of phone calls and they let us on our way.
