Troy Batchelor and Chris Holder have elevated themselves into the top eight ‘dropzone’ of the Speedway Grand Prix Championship after stellar performances at Vojens in Denmark.

Batchelor made the Final and finished fourth, netting 13 points towards his Championship charge, whilst Holder walked away with 10 points. They sit seventh (Holder) and eighth (Batchelor) respectively, Batchelor a solitary point in front of Swede, Freddie Lindgren.

Swede, Andreas Jonsson took the final, defeating Peter Kildemand, Krzysztof Kasprzak and  Batchelor.

The injury-riddled SGP field for the first time in the Grand Prix era didn’t feature Greg Hancock. He has been in every Grand Prix since 1995 with 177 events to his credit. Hancock was ruled out following the hand injury sustained at the last Grand Prix.

Stunningly, Hancock still holds the Championship lead, however Tai Woffinden was able to close the gap by seven points to seven points at the end of the event. Nicki Pedersen was able to net eight points.

There is just two races to go in the World Championship.
