Da Costa completes Aguri Formula E squad

Antonio Felix da Costa completes Amlin Aguri line up
Red Bull Formula 1 reserve driver and DTM racer Antonio Felix da Costa has completed Amlin Aguri’s line up for the inaugural FIA Formula E season.
The 22-year-old Macau GP winner will join former IndyCar driver Katherine Legge at the Japanese squad to compete in the new electric powered series.
Felix da Costa is considered by many as one of the brightest stars in world motorsport having taken race wins in GP3, F3 and Formula Renault 3.5, which earned him a place in the Red Bull junior programme.
After missing out on a drive in F1 at Toro Rosso for this season, the Portuguese racer has been competing in the DTM with BMW.
“I believe this is the championship of the future,” said da Costa.

“With Formula E we see history being made and I’m excited to be right at the heart of this new project.
“I have no doubt we’ll see this championship drive real innovation and advances in technology.
“I am confident Amlin Aguri will be out there at the front right from the start.”
Felix da Costa is due to make his debut with the team at Thursday’s test held at Donington Park.
The FIA Formula E Championship will kick-off on the streets of Beijing, China on September 13.
