Ricciardo will have two more races before the FIA appeal hearing

The FIA has released the date for the appeal hearing into the disqualification of Daniel Ricciardo at the Australian Grand Prix.

Red Bull Racing will have its appeal heard on Monday 14 April in Paris. This is the Monday prior to the Chinese Grand Prix, and after both next weekend’s Malaysian and the following Bahrain Grands Prix.

The Milton Keynes-based team is challenging Ricciardo’s exclusion for exceeding the maximum fuel-flow rate during his run to second place in Melbourne.

After formally confirming its appeal on Thursday, the FIA will meet to make judgement on the matter and is expected to announce its decision prior to racing in Shanghai.

With the hearing coming after the next two races it not only leaves the championship standings in a disputed position, but also what will be Red Bull’s approach be with the use of the fuel-flow meters; especially if the same situation arises with a discrepancy between the FIA data and that of the team’s. comment policy reserves the right to deny any post that is abusive or offtopic.
