With less than 24 hours to place their tips for the opening V8 Supercars Championship round players of the Castrol EDGE V8 Predictor look to the history books for this weekend’s Clipsal 500 predictions.

The #1 Red Bull Racing Australia driver Jamie Whincup currently sits as the favoured driver to score the most points in Adelaide this weekend.

Whincup’s five race wins and three pole positions at the circuit is coupled with a 100% strike rate having completed all 16 races he’s contested at the South Australian street circuit.

The Clipsal 500 track action commences today on the streets of Adelaide with three practice sessions, plus two 15 minute qualifying sessions for Races 1 and 2 of the Championship.

Saturday will see an early afternoon practice held ahead of two 125km races before Sunday’s qualifying and 250km race.

All 25 competitors will run on the hard compound Dunlop Sport Maxx control tyre with the challenge of managing an allocation of 24 new tyres across the weekend.

Signing up for the V8 Predictor is easy and players have the chance of winning the ultimate V8 Supercars holiday in 2015 including flights, accommodation, spending money and behind the scenes access to the V8 Supercars world.

There are also $100 BP Fuel vouchers up for grabs for each of the 14 rounds contested this year plus bonus prizes on top.

The 2013 Castrol EDGE V8 Predictor champion will be enjoying the ride of a lifetime this afternoon when Tony Q from Melbourne heads for a hotlap of the circuit with Mark Winterbottom as a part of his prize for winning last year.
