A graphic of the car that Winterbottom will race
Mark Winterbottom is the latest Australian driver to sign-up for the Brazilian Stock Car Series’ two-driver event at Interlagos next month.
The Ford Performance Racing star will partner local driver Sergio Jimenez in one of Voxx Racing’s Peugeot 408-bodied cars.
Other locals scheduled to take part include Rubens Barrichello, Nelson Piquet Jr, Riccardo Zonta, Antonio Pizzonia and Augusto Farfus.
The event race will mark Winterbottom’s first competitive foray overseas.
“It’s a great opportunity to test my skills against some of the worlds best drivers and gain more experience,” said Winterbottom of the drive.
The March 22-23 race date falls on the weekend between Winterbottom’s Albert Park and Symmons Plains V8 Supercars commitments.
