A maiden appearance on the streets of Sydney Olympic Park will complete the 2014 Formula 3 Australian Drivers’ Championship calendar.
Joining the Sydney event ensures that the open-wheel class both starts and ends on the V8 Supercars bill following last month’s confirmation that its season will start with a return to the Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
The two classes will also run together again at Hidden Valley in June, while the Bathurst Motor Festival and four Shannons Nationals appearances make up the bulk of the schedule.
The championship’s television coverage will continue on SBS and Speed TV Australia.
Next year will be the last for Formula 3 as Australia’s only domestic wings and slicks class, with CAMS stating its intention to add Formula 4 to the landscape in 2015.
