The special exhibition at Sydney Town Hall commemorating the Macau Grand Prix was opened on Wednesday night with two of the three Australians to have won the race – Vern Schuppan and Kevin Bartlett – on hand to open the exhibition.
The winner of the first Ladies’ Race in 1956 Fernanda Ribeiro – who is now based in Australia – was in attendance with her family and was showing off her skill aboard the simulators brought in for the evening.
The exhibition is open at the Lower Exhibition Halls of Sydney Town Hall – cnr of George and Druitt Streets, Sydney City until Sunday. It is free to the public and open between 10am and 4pm.
