Austin branding for Pepsi FPR Falcons in Texas
Ford Performance Racing is billing itself as the ‘home team’ for the Austin 400 thanks to a partnership between the factory Ford outfit and the Austin Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
The team’s Mark Winterbottom and Will Davison driven entries will compete with ‘Austin Live Music Capital of the World’ branding on their rooves.
The tagline is an oft-used slogan in Austin, where live music is particularly prevalent on its famous Sixth Street.
Branding to promote the visitor’s bureau’s website will also feature on the trailing edge of the boot on the two cars.
“This is the event for American fans to find their team and decide who their allegiance lies with and what better way to do it than giving them a team to really support,” said Edwards.
“As the factory Ford team the US is somewhat home turf. Our ties with America are only strengthened by our partnership with Pepsi Max so when you add our association with Austin CVB we are the automatic choice for a home team for local fans.”
Austin is also the name of Winterbottom’s second son who was born in February of this year.
FPR’s deal with Austin follows a similar agreement between Brad Jones Racing and the Northern Territory government for the Hidden Valley event.
