Jack Miller tops Moto3 testing at drenched Jerez


Jack Miller – topped Moto3 testing
Australian rider Jack Miller has ended an incredibly wet Moto3 test day at Jerez by topping the timesheets, whilst fellow Moto3 Aussie, Arthur Sissis was fifth quickest and Anthony West ended his day in Moto2 also in fifth placing.
Miller set the best time in both of the last two sessions, the final session a dry line started to appear. His time – a 1:57.627 was some 10 seconds slower than the dry pace of Monday.
His Caretta Technology-RTG team-mate, John McPhee was just under two-tenths of a second slower than the Queenslander.
South Aussie Arthur Sissis ended his day impressively in the top five for Red Bull KTM. He was fourth quickest in the final session, a second off the pace of his fellow Australian. This placed him fifth on combined times from all of the sessions.
In the Moto2 test session, Anthony West was fifth quickest on combined times. He set his fastest lap – a 1:55.860 – in the first session of the day, however was second quickest of the group. Moto2 testing threw up a number of mixed results.
Overall, Englishman, Scott Redding was the fastest of the 19 bike field setting a 1:55.082 around the Spanish track.
The MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships begin April 5-7 under lights at the Losail Circuit in Qatar.
