Ant Pedersen and Shane van Gisbergen collide in race 1 at Ruapuna

Tasman Motorsports Group has won the opening heat in round two of the BNT V8 SuperTourer Championship at Ruapuna.

Dan Gaunt, who with co-driver Andrew Waite won the last race of the Championship at the Christchurch track last year, cashed in on a late race incident.

Polesitter Ant Pedersen and Shane van Gisbergen clashed on lap 10 of the 12-lap race when dicing for the lead which left Gaunt to inherit P1. CLICK HERE to read more on Speedcafe.co.nz
