South Australian Jay Verdnik will make a return to the Dunlop Series this year, competing with the expanding Eggleston Motorsport operation.
Verdnik, who started racing in the V8 Supercars series in 2004 as a teenager, will make a return to the class after a three year sabbatical.
Verdnik will drive the team’s ex-HSV Dealer Team VE Commodore which has been driven by Cameron McConville in past seasons.

After a successful test following two years on the sidelines, both Verdnik and Eggleston Motorsport are looking forward to hitting the track.
“Despite a two year hiatus from the series, Jay drove very well and was comfortable in the car straight away,” said team manager Rachael Wagg.
“We look forward to welcoming both Jay and his loyal supporters to the team for the Clipsal 500 round.”
Verdnik will be backed by a number of South Australian companies for the event including major supporter Paint tech. Other supporters include Logistics 1, Timbalac, Complete Freight, Dial a Tow, TCIS Insurance Brokers, HI-Trans Express and JV Crash.
The opening round of the 2013 Dunlop Series will kick-off at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide this Thursday.
