The V8 Supercars Championship’s new era is officially underway with cars hitting the track for the category’s pre-season test day at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Twenty-five cars have made it to the Western Sydney venue, with only two of Nissan Motorsport’s Altima’s and one of Dick Johnson Racing’s Falcons failing to show.

DJR’s #12 Ford of Tim Blanchard and Brad Jones Racing’s #21 Holden of David Wall both arrived at the circuit in the early hours of the morning after being completed at their respective Queensland and Victorian workshops.

Today’s test will be broken up into two parts, with a 70 minute break for fan interaction taking place from 1220.
