The contract dispute between Jamie Whincup and Monster Energy Drinks remains unresolved on the eve of the new V8 Supercars season.
Monster commenced legal action in December after Whincup sought clearance from the final year of a personal deal with the energy drinks company following his Triple Eight team securing a three-year deal with rival Red Bull.
The Monster and Whincup camps have remained at logger heads over the summer break.
Speedcafe.com understands, however, that a resolution will most likely take place in March, after the opening event of the V8 Supercars Championship in Adelaide.
Whincup and the team declined to comment on the situation when approached by Speedcafe.com today.
While the legal action is in play, Whincup will not be seen in any direct ‘Red Bull’ energy drink promotions, but will be active in ‘Red Bull Racing Australia’ activities, like the team’s launch in Sydney this morning.

Whincup has held a personal deal with Monster since 2009, becoming one of the company’s most high-profile athletes.
The reigning V8 Supercars champion will have his first taste of his Red Bull Racing Australia Commodore VF at Sydney Motorsport Park in the official pre-season test this Saturday.
