Heimgartner completes Porsche Supercup Shootout in Italy

Teenage racer Andre Heimgartner has completed the Porsche Motorsport International Scholarship shootout at Vallelunga in Italy.

The 17-year-old was selected for the test where a drive in the 2013 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is the lucrative prize.

Heimgartner had to cut short his co-driving duties at the Woodstock 500 V8 SuperTourer at Pukekohe last weekend in order to fly to Italy. After combining with Paul Morris in Saturday’s opening heat he then had to prepare to leave for the Italian test and forgo his drives in the two races on Sunday.
