Scott McLaughlin leads the field through Turn 1 at Pukekohe

A flawless strategy and a fired up Scott McLaughlin supplied the Auto Trade Direct Commodore team with a clinical win in the opening 53-lap race at Pukekohe.

Together with trusty sidekick Jono Webb the pair beat Pukekohe hero Greg Murphy and Jack Perkins who fought back from an early race scare to claim second in the Mike Pero Mortgages Commodore.

The final podium place went to the Peak Oil Commodore shared by experienced Hamilton racer Kayne Scott and Simon Evans.
