Amid the revolution occurring in domestic motor racing, the Suzuki Championship has been confirmed for next season.
It is the latest piece in the jigsaw to fall into place following an upheaval within the country’s official FIA-sanctioned administration, Motorsport NZ.
“We’ve declared that it is on because the sport at the end of the day owns the Championship,” Motorsport NZ’s Brian Budd told Speedcafe.co.nz.
“We are not sure what the outcome of discussions are going to be between Suzuki and V8 SuperTourers.”

In other related news, the hugely popular Suzuki Swift Sport Cup has confirmed it will run in conjunction with the V8 SuperTourer Championship from next season.
