Sydney fan Michael Minor bucked his trend of lucking out on prizes to become the winner of the Speedcafe.com livery competition today.
Minor, 20, voted for the winning livery design where a selection of Australian motorsport's best designers had posted their artwork to attract votes on the Speedcafe.com website.
Tim Pattinson's design ultimately won the most votes and his design will be used to sticker up a V8 Superschool FG Falcon at the Norwell Driving Centre near the Gold Coast.
“This is the first thing I've won since I was a little kid going to the Easter Show,” a delighted Minor told Speedcafe.com
“I'm always entering competitions hoping to win so it's good to finally win one.”
Minor is a massively loyal motoring racing fan who likes all forms of racing even though he comes from a speedway background.
“My dad raced speedway and when I was old enough I started racing. Dad raced street stocks then we were both racing modified production cars.”
“I've done a tyre test day at Eastern Creek but that is as much as I've done on any circuit so I'm looking forward to driving the V8 Superschool Falcon.”
Speedcafe.com would like to thank Pattinson and fellow designs Nick Moss, Dane Child and Simon Wills for their time in created their own unique designs for the competition.
The Speedcafe.com livery for the V8 Superschool FG Falcon highlighted BAM Tours, OzSpeedshop and Speedcafe.com's 12 platinum partners.
