Tekno Autosports has this morning revealed a multiple-event sponsorship deal with Sargent Security for Jonathon Webb’s #19 Holden Commodore.

Webb will compete in the colours of the Sydney-based security firm at this year’s Townsville, Ipswich, Bathurst and Homebush races.

The deal extends Sargent Security’s Australian motorsport involvement, which also includes title sponsorship of the Australian GT Championship.

Webb first linked with the company earlier this season when, following damage sustained to his own car in Adelaide, the 28-year-old raced a Paul Morris Motorsport Commodore dressed in a Sargent Security livery previously run by Paul Morris in the Development Series.

Webb expressed his excitement at the news in a team statement that described the four-event deal as “a litmus test for 2013 and beyond”.

“The team at Sargent Security approached us a couple of weeks ago flagging interest in a potential partnership,” explained Webb.

“We are excited to have them join us and look forward to getting some great results both on and off the track for them.”

The Sucrogen Townsville 400 kicks off today with four practice sessions around the Reid Park Street Circuit.
