Lotus driver Romain Grosjean has ended the three-day Mugello Formula 1 test by setting the fastest time on the final afternoon of running.
The Frenchman’s 1:21.04s best proved 0.23s quicker than Sebastian Vettel’s morning effort in the Red Bull, while Fernando Alonso, Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Perez rounding out the top five.
Grosjean had also been fastest on the second day of the test following reserve driver Jerome D’Ambrosio’s stint in the Lotus on Tuesday.
Oliver Turvey was the only reserve driver to take to the circuit on Day 3 – the Briton setting the ninth fastest time for McLaren.
