Professional athletes and doughnuts don’t generally go in the same sentence, but that was the theme in Perth recently.
Four Australian V8 Supercars drivers were caught doing ‘doughnuts’ in the carpark of drive through coffee outlet Muzz Buzz Malaga in Perth’s northern suburbs, promoting the upcoming Perth round of the V8 Supercars Championship, the Tradingpost Perth Challenge.
VIP Petfoods driver Steve Owen, along with Dean Fiore (Jim Beam Racing), David Reynolds (Bottle-O Racing) and Karl Reindler (Kelly Racing) gathered in the car park with 96FM breakfast presenter Brad ‘Fitzi’ Fitzgerald, encouraging listeners to come along to witness the V8 drivers perform doughnuts.
As it turned out, the boys did not trouble the authorities, simply enjoying an early morning breakfast of champions – coffee and doughnuts!
Listeners who came along got to meet the drivers received caps, enjoyed a free doughnut and coffee and have gone into a draw to to win tickets to the Tradingpost Perth Challenge, to be held at the refurbished Barbagallo Raceway on May 4-6.
