Injured Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica has enjoyed his first drive on a race track since his rally accident last year.

Driving a go kart at an indoor race track in Pistoia, Italy, Kubica raced against a some friends at the wheel of one of the ‘MyKart’ kart centre’s electric karts.

The Polish driver has not competed in F1 after suffering severe injuries to his right hand in a local Italian rally.

His long recovery has continued to rule him out of the drivers seat, and is in doubt to race in F1 in the future. comment policy
