Wilson Security Racing will adorn a pink colour scheme for the final event of the V8 Supercars Championship at the Sydney Telstra 500.
The #3 Wilson Security Ford Falcon of Tony D'Alberto will feature fluorescent pink on its skin, continuing Wilson Security's ongoing support of the McGrath Foundation.
It is the third year that Wilson Security Racing has used its V8 Supercars sponsorship program to support the McGarth Foundation, which funds McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia and increases breast awareness in young women.
It is the second time that D'Alberto and his team have worn the pink colours this year, after using the colours to good effect in the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000. D'Alberto and endurance co-driver Dale Wood finished in ninth place at the Mount Panorama circuit.
The team's second entry of David Wall will compete in its regular green Wilson Security colours.
D'Alberto hopes the return to ‘pink' will bring a solid result at the Sydney street track.
“We're very pleased to again offer our support to the McGrath Foundation and support Wilson Security's charity,” said D'Alberto.
“We had a terrific result in pink at Bathurst, and we're hoping we can do the same at Sydney this weekend.
“The car has even more pink on it this time. It would be nice if that meant we're going to get an even better result!
“Sydney is definitely a challenging event. It throws up many different variables, but we're confident with the package that we're taking into the meeting.
“We've had some great speed of late but haven't really been able to capitalise on that. I can't think of a better way to end the season with a top result.”
The Sydney Telstra 500 kicks off this Friday at the Sydney Olympic Park precinct.
