Parking issues at Bathurst cause change

ATT: Mount Panorama guests for Sunday’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000

An urgent message from V8 Supercars Australia.

Ongoing wet conditions have forced the partial closure of all car parks at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 with V8 Supercars engaging additional public transport to get patrons to and from the track.

Event organisers V8 Supercars have implemented a new park and ride system with Jones Brothers buses to transport people to and from the event from multiple locations across the City.

Jones Bus is deploying its full fleet tomorrow with buses arriving approximately every 30 minutes.

More parking is also available at the Rankin/George Street car park where spectators can utilise the Howick Street bus stop.

If for any reason people must drive to the venue they must park in surrounding streets under the direction of Police and event officials.

People are reminded to park responsibly and legally if they need to drive, particularly avoiding residents’ driveways, as vehicles will need to be towed if parked illegally.

Full bus schedules and details can be found at http://www.jonesbros.com.au.

Information will be clearly sign posted around the venue and the City from tomorrow morning.
