VIDEO: Taz Douglas packed gear “just in case”
Taz Douglas packed his race suit and helmet “just in case” an issue befell a driver at this weekend’s L&H 500.
Early this morning, Douglas got an unexpected phone call from Tony D’Alberto Racing to fill in for D’Alberto himself, who has contracted the chicken pox virus.

“I brought my gear down just in case something like this happens, and it did,” Douglas told Speedcafe.com.
“But it is disappointing for Tony. I know how much he loves racing. It’s his team, so its disappointing for him, but I am happy to help out and get some laps in a modern car.”
Douglas currently competes in the Fujitsu V8 Supercars Series, currently running in 15th.
Douglas will drive the #3 Wilson Security Racing Falcon FG with Dale Wood in this weekend’s L&H 500 Phillip Island.
