The 16th episode of the IRWIN Tools Endurance Countdown looks at Jonathon Webb’s Tekno Autosports Ford team.

Speedcafe.com’s Grant Rowley is joined by Supercheap Auto Racing endurance driver Jack Perkins, alongside V8 Supercars Championship commentator Chris Jewell to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each team leading into the L&H 500 Phillip Island and Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

At the last event of 2010, Webb scored his maiden V8 Supercars win in a rain-affected race at the Sydney Telstra 500. After winning the 2009 Fujitsu V8 Series, Webb’s Sydney win topped off a solid debut season in the category, driving a Dick Johnson Racing-prepared Falcon.

Since then, Webb has switched to running his own team from his own workshop, and the results have dipped.

Joining Webb in the Mother Energy Drinks Falcon is Irishman Richard Lyons. Although he has only contested one ‘Season of V8 endurance’ back in 2007 with TeamVodafone, Lyons is highly-rated.

Can Webb and Lyons tame Phillip Island and Bathurst?
