Officials remember Ken Wootton at Queensland Raceway

Legendary Australian motorcycle writer and commentator Ken Wootton has been remembered ahead of today’s opening race of the QBE Australian Superbike Championships at Queensland Raceway.

One of the most influential people on the local scene, Wootton passed away in his sleep while in the Czech Republic, CLICK HERE for that report, in late July.

Key officials gathered at the head of the grid, while teams and riders stood with their machines.

For the first time in countless years, Wootton will not be heard as both the track and TV commentator, with his long-time colleague Mark Bracks stepping-up from the pitlane to be alongside Phil Harlum.
