Masterchefs, musicians and footballers got to sample V8 Supercars power at Eastern Creek Raceway today as guests of Jim Beam Racing.
Drivers Steve Johnson and rookie James Moffat gave a group of celebrities some hot laps, including popular Masterchef 2011 contestant Hayden Quinn, who got his first taste of V8 power.
Quinn, who was recently voted off the Masterchef program, had difficulty putting his ride of a lifetime into words.
“That was incredible!” he said.
“The ride was just amazing, so fun, so fast, so much skill – Wow!”
Other Australian identities including Daimon Downey (former Sneaky Sound System frontman), Sarafu Fatiaki and Nafe Seluini (Penrith Panthers) and Stephen Clifton (Great Western Sydney Giants) tore around the race track.
Jim Beam Racing has its two V8 Supercars at Eastern Creek, along with 14 others as many V8 teams from Queensland and Victoria treat Sydney guests to V8 rides.
