Daniel Gaunt has taken a clean sweep of Carrera Cup race wins at Townsville.

Gaunt again pulled away from the field in Race 3, and while rival Jonny Reid tried to again reel him in, Gaunt raced to the chequered flag to claim the race and round win, with Reid in second.

Behind the leading duo, Michael Patrizi and Craig Baird were dicing for third, while further back Steven Richards and Ben Barker were battling for fifth position. As the race entered its final laps though, the four drivers grouped to create a four-way battle for third.

Patrizi eventually claimed the final podium position with Baird in fourth and Barker in fifth.

Damien Flack finished seventh and was the first of the Elite Class drivers to the finish, ahead of Max Twigg. driver Mark Noske was ninth to the finish and was 14th in the round results.

The result sees Reid take the series lead from Baird, Gaunt and Richards.
