Whincup climbs back to top in final practice

Jamie Whincup has finished as the fastest driver at Hidden Valley Raceway ahead of this weekend’s Skycity Triple Crown in Darwin.
The V8 Supercars Championship leader finished today’s final practice session ahead of Lucky 7 Racing’s Tim Slade and TeamVodafone stablemate Craig Lowndes.
Shane van Gisbergen (SP Tools Racing), David Reynolds (Stratco Racing), Paul Dumbrell (The Bottle-O Racing), Rick Kelly (Jack Daniel’s Racing), Mark Winterbottom (Orrcon Steel FPR), Will Davison (Trading Post FPR) and Todd Kelly (Jack Daniel’s Racing) rounded out the top 10.
The final practice results make good reading for Triple Eight, Stone Brothers Racing, Kelly Racing and Ford Performance Racing, who all ended the session with multiple cars in the top 10.

Just outside the top 10 was Tony D’Alberto, putting all of the FPR-built Falcons inside the top 11.
