Look for the bonnet of Alex Davison’s IRWIN Racing Falcon to change regularly for the remaining events of the 2011 V8 Supercars Championship.
The hand tools company, sponsor of the #4 Stone Brothers Racing entry for the past three years, will use the bonnet to promote its range of new products.
The initiative was trailed at Winton for the first time, with the IRWIN Vise-Grip featured on the front of the car.
IRWIN Tools communications and events manager David Watkins says that using Davison’s race car to raise awareness of its products is the best way forward.
“IRWIN Tools has been involved in V8 Supercars for five years now, while our brand awareness has soared in this time, we wanted to remind people that IRWIN manufactures high quality hand tools and power tool accessories,” Watkins told Speedcafe.com.
“The IRWIN VISE-GRIP is an industry leader and one of the building industries most popular hand tools, over the remaining events of the 2011 season we will re-introduce this and several new exciting products using the IRWIN Racing bonnet.”
Davison currently sits seventh in the V8 Supercars Championship.
The V8 Supercars Championship resumes this weekend for the Skycity Triple Crown at Hidden Valley Raceway.
