Craig Lowndes and Warren Luff have completed practice for this weekend's ADAC ACAS H&R-Cup VLN (Veranstaltergemeinschaft Langstreckenpokal Nürburgring) race at the famous Nordschleife in Germany.
Driving the Team Audi race experience R8 LMS, Lowndes used the two-hour session to further familiarise himself with the car and the daunting 24.369-kilometre course that is known as the ‘Green Hell'.
The Aussie duo completed two groups of three-lap runs each, as they prepared for the four-hour race that will have 200 starters.
Qualifying will be held at 8.30am on Saturday morning, with the four-hour race to start at midday.
Despite Lowndes enormous success in Australia, he is considered a rookie in this style of racing. The five-time Bathurst winner is required to take part in this weekend's race to qualify for the Nürburgring 24 Hour which will be held in a month's time on 23-26 June.
Luff has competed in the 24-Hour race three times previously.
